The 4-flute TiSiN ball nose end mill is engineered for finishing passes and semi-finish Z-level contouring in steel and stainless steel up to HRC55. More cutting edges reduce per-tooth chip load, enabling higher feed rates while maintaining lower surface scallop height (Ra). TiSiN coating withstands the elevated temperatures of continuous 3D contouring on hardened mould surfaces without edge chipping.

Machining Tip: R3mm is the most popular size for die and mould work. In HRC55 hardened steel, use 5–10% D1 step-over for semi-finishing, 2–5% for finishing. Feed rate 0.02–0.06 mm/tooth; adjust to keep scallop height ≤ 0.005mm for polishing-free finish.
